Land Acknowledgement Resources

Although this manifesto exists in virtual space, our practices are carried out on physical Lands. These Lands are places and spaces of deep histories, and we acknowledge the Indigenous and First Nations people who are the Traditional Custodians of these Lands on which we work, recognising that sovereignty was rarely/never ceded.  We collectively pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.

We are committed to continually learning about the power, bias, and privilege in our practices. Our land acknowledgement is a first step in foregrounding people whose practices have been marginalised, and often erased, through colonial pasts. You can find out more about whose land you are on, and how to truly acknowledge this through resources such as: https://www.whose.land/en/ and https://aiatsis.gov.au/whose-country-am-i
